Activity Notes
This hike will take Ed's Trail up to Silver Star and then the Sturgeon Trail for an easy scramble up Sturgeon Rock before descending via Silver Star Trail back to the trailhead. The full loop will take us about 6.1 miles with 1800' of gain. While the scrambling is not difficult, note that you may need to us your hands to negotiate some moves and you may face some exposure.
We will carpool from the MMC at 2:00 PM and arrive at the trailhead by 3:45 PM. We'll aim to complete the hike in 3 hours or less; we'll move at a brisk pace uphill slightly faster than 2 mph and similarly downhill and enjoy short breaks at each of the summits.
This is an exploratory hike, meaning the leader has not done this hike before.
