This is an D level Mazama Hike that occurs in a wilderness area. D level hikes are very difficult, very strenuous trips in difficult conditions. No specific distance or elevation gain. Special equipment, conditioning, and experience may be required. D level hikes require you to apply; once you apply you will receive an email within a few days letting you know if you have been accepted onto the hike.

Activity Notes

Enchantments Thru-Hike in one day with a resupply side quest. 

We'll start at the Colchuck TH at 5:15 AM after leaving some cars at the Snow Lake TH which we'll attempt to reach by 9pm that evening. 

All trails says 19 miles, 4800 ft elevation gain. I think it's closer to 21 miles based on my experience last Summer. 

As a side quest, we'll be bringing a small resupply to a fellow Mazama member who scored a 2 week permit to camp in the core.

By being accepted to this hike, you're also committing to share the weight of this resupply. I'm expecting it won't be more than an extra 5ish pounds per person. 

This is a very long, strenuous day and I will screen out people who don't have recent vigorous training in their profile.
