Golden Horn is a striking summit and aptly named for its color and shape, as well as the many golden larches in the region. Though not in a wilderness area, it is surrounded by the North Cascade, Glacier Peak, and Pasayten wildernesses. The summit block is an easy low 5th class. Golden Horn is often paired with similar nearby neighbor Tower Mountain, not least because both are in the Top 100 highest peaks in Washington.
