- There is an additional $33 permit fee that you will need to reimburse to the climb leader.

I've climbed Olympus a couple of times and find that I prefer a nice, easy pace. There are vault toilets, easy water access, and bear wire at each of our scheduled campsites. This is a long approach so I strongly encourage you to keep your pack as light as possible.  You should be below 35 lbs at the absolute max, I’m shooting for sub 30.
