Activity Notes
This climb was originally Mt Adams, Mazama Glacier. Since access to the route on the tribal lands of the Yakama Nation was not granted we have switched the climb to Mt Shuksan via the Sulphide Glacier.
Since the original permit window has passed we will be relying on a walk-up permit for the climb. The leader will drive up to Marblemount on the day before, in the hopes we can get one of the remaining 40% of the permits to the route.
Our plan is to hike in to camp on Thursday, June 25th, with summit day on Friday, June 26th. After summiting we will return to camp, and hike out on Saturday, June 27th.
Since this route involves extensive roped travel on glaciers, skilled crevasse negotiation, and well-honed crevasse rescue techniques, preference will be given to new and former ICS grads.
