Cook Hill Loop Hike

Activity Notes

Partially exploratory loop hike visiting the hill just east of Dog Mountain. There may be mountain views and wildflowers. We will hike the 8.8 mile, 2,950' lollipop loop counterclockwise, reaching the summit of Cook Hill after we've turned back toward the southeast. We will quickly drop elevation after lunch at the top. 

We will leave Mazamas Mountaineering Center at 07:00, reaching a small parking area on Cook-Underwood Rd around 08:30 after taking the toll free route via SR 14 and making a brief bathroom stop on route. You can view the driving route at https://maps.app.goo.gl/jije6uPiqBAnoFTZ8.
