Activity Notes

Winter ascent of Mt. St Helens.  We most likely will not be going to the true summit and just going to the crater rim.  Backup dates will be the following weekend before permit season starts.  This climb may be Saturday or Sunday depending on conditions.  

Required Technical Gear

  • Beacon/Probe/Shovel
  • Ice Axe/Crampons/Helmet

Required Training

  • Avalanche Awareness
  • Experience skiing backcountry terrain
