Activity Notes

We'll depart from the MMC parking lot at 2:00 pm or you can meet us at the Grouse Vista trailhead no later than 3:00 pm. A Washington Discover Pass is required to park at the trailhead.

The hike gains about 2k feet of elevation in short, steep bursts, starting with 1k feet over the first mile on rocky terrain. We'll aim to maintain a quick 2 mph pace uphill. If we make good time and conditions permit, we may add an additional scramble up Pyramid Rock on the return hike and take in the sunset from there.

Hikers should expect to descend the final mile down the rocky mile in the dark. Headlamps are a must.
