This is an B level Mazama Hike that occurs in a non-wilderness area. B level hikes are moderate or more challenging hikes with either less than 15 miles in distance with between 1,500 and 3,000 feet elevation gain or between 8 and 15 miles in distance with less than 1,500 feet of elevation gain.

Activity Notes

A fun, and probably wet, Winter hike on the Oregon Coast! Starting at Arch Cape we will hike the Oregon Coast Trail South to Cape Falcon in Oswald West State Park. ~11 miles and ~2500' net elevation gain over rolling terrain for this out and back hike. Expect a sometimes brushy and muddy track with roots and the occasional downed tree to add to the challenge.
