Mosier Twin Tunnels

Activity Notes

This an approximately 9 mile out and back walk along the mostly (all?) paved path between Hood RIver and Mosier.

The elevation gain is minimal, under 700 feet total.

If the weather is at all clear, there are great views up and down the gorge almost the entire length of the path.

We will walk this path briskly, aiming for 3 mph most of the way but will finish in the 2.5-3.0 mph range.

If the weather is very poor (some combo of wind, temps and precip) I will cancel the hike.

We will meet at the MMC at 7:30 AM to carpool to the trailhead, which is the Mark Hatfield West Trailhead,  located HERE.

We will begin hiking around 8:45 AM. We will have lunch along the path, and should return to the MMC around 2:30 PM.
