Activity Notes

This hike to the top of Dome Rock from Highway 22 totals 9.7 miles with 3287' of gain. We'll plan to carpool from the MMC at 7 AM to the Tumble Creek Trailhead on Highway 22. If you plan to meet us at the trailhead, arrive no later than 8:45 AM. We'll aim to complete this hike in no more than 6 hours, moving at least at a 2 mph pace uphill.

This will be an exploratory hike for the leader. This is not the most popular hike, so we may not have recent trail conditions available; we may find snow or ice on the trail. Participants will ideally bring hiking poles and microspikes or similar traction devices so we have the best chance of making it to the top.
