This is an B level Mazama Hike that occurs in a non-wilderness area. B level hikes are moderate or more challenging hikes with either less than 15 miles in distance with between 1,500 and 3,000 feet elevation gain or between 8 and 15 miles in distance with less than 1,500 feet of elevation gain.

Activity Notes

Let's wander some of the moody forest and quirky signed trails around Devil's Rest in the Gorge for a Halloween daytime excursion. We'll start up at the gate on Palmer Mill road and head up the old road to The Way around to Devil's Rest and then on to the She-Devil and Vacuum Cleaner/Oil Pan Trail. We can take a side excursion to the Bullet Car if desired. Should end up with 8-9 miles and about 1600 feet gain.
