Angel's Rest is one of the most popular hikes in the Columbia Gorge and affords gorgeous views of the Columbia River from it's summit. You'll hike through varied terrain, including lush green forest, a barren area from the 1991 forest fire, as well as pass by a waterfall.

This short hike is well worth the effort. Plan to arrive early on spring and summer weekends as it can get very crowded.

Before registering, if you are not a regular hiker with the Mazamas, please ensure that your profile includes details on your hiking/outdoor activities over the past few months.

This will be a briskly paced hike to the iconic gorge viewpoint. We'll then head a few minutes up the road to hike the Latourell Falls Loop. Totals for the day are about 7 miles and 2100 feet of elevation gain. We'll carpool from the MMC departing at 7:30 am, or you can meet us at the Angel's Rest trailhead at 8:00. I expect to be back to the MMC by 1 pm.
