This is an B level Mazama Hike that occurs in a wilderness area. B level hikes are moderate or more challenging hikes with either less than 15 miles in distance with between 1,500 and 3,000 feet elevation gain or between 8 and 15 miles in distance with less than 1,500 feet of elevation gain.

Formerly posted as the South Cape Beach Hike, checking the tide tables, 11/5 is a King Tide day. <br>
In the spirit of safety, alternatively, we will hike the lower and upper falls of Falls Creek in the Gifford Pinchot. Approximately, 1300 ft of elevation gain, on just over a 6 mile loop trail.
<br> We will meet at MMC for a 7:30am departure.<br>
*Note* I am a carless hike leader and will need willing carpool drivers departing MMC @ 7:30 am, for the hike to operate.<br> Carpoolers $12 RT minus tolls.<br> NW Forest Pass to park at the trailhead, approximately one and a half hours drive. There is a restroom present at the trailhead.
