We'll see emerging colors from vine-maple among one of the only remaining old-growth forests on the flanks of Mt St Helens. Out and back to the edge of the Plains Of Abraham overlooking Ape Canyon. 11 miles with a total elevation gain of 1500ft.
Carpool from Gateway Transit Center at 6:30am and departing from the Ape Canyon Trailhead at 8:30am.
