Activity Notes
Join us for a day full of adventure on Loowit! We'll be visiting the Ape Caves, Lava Canyon, and Trail of Two Forests. If we do both sections of Ape Cave, the total stats for the day will be 9 miles/1700' gain.
Despite the shorter distance/gain, this trip is to not be underestimated. Ape Cave will require scrambling on boulders in the dark, Trail of Two Forests has an option crawl tunnel, and Lava Canyon will involve exposure, ladders, and some bushwhacking and scrambling. There's a bit of everything on this trip!
Carpool from MMC at 7:30A.M. Ape Cave has required timed entry permits for each vehicle; we have secured two of these for 9:00A.M. If you're interested in being a third driver, let me know; you'll need a timed entry permit.
A gear list will be sent to accepted participants.
