Activity Notes
Out-and-back from Mirror Lake. I am going to try to take the bus up and scout the trail beforehand, but if I don't get a chance then this will be my first exploratory hike. It sounds pretty straightforward but reports and descriptions do mention some scrambling and exposure towards the top.
Carpool from Rock Haven at 7:00A.M. or you can meet us at Mirror Lake Trailhead at 8:00A.M. A Northwest Forest Pass is required. Suggested gas contribution is $8/passenger.
8 miles, 1800' gain, 5000' summit
***One of my motivations for leading hikes is to provide opportunities to improve mental and physical health and build community. There's a lot of evidence that spending time outside in nature and socially engaging outside of work is good for the body and mind. Minorities tend to experience more stress, especially in today's political climate. Therefore, I invite all races, ethnicities, genders, sexualities, economic classes, religions, languages, and all other minorities to join me on my hikes!
