Activity Notes
This hike leaves from the Larch Mountain trailhead and rambles through numerous stands of old growth and some areas scarred from the Eagle Creek Fire, crossing Bell, Horsetail and Oneonta Creeks high up in the Gorge's less-travelled regions.
Downed trees are likely on the trail, and Oneonta Creek may be too deep and swift-running this time of year to safely cross without getting your feet wet, so bring some water shoes to cross the creek if wet boots bother you.
The hike will be approximately 15 miles long with about 2600' of elevation gain.
This is an exploratory hike for the leader.
We will meet at the MMC at 7 AM to carpool to the trailhead. We will begin hiking at 8 AM.
