A three pitch 5.6 sport route of an andesite pinnacle of pretty good rock on a broad steep nose with some airy exposure located a very short walk from highway 20.
Activity Notes
2 1/2 pitches of 5.6 just a 5 minute walk from the highway. I will be running this as a beginner friendly climb where the beginner will be paired with an experienced lead and belayer in teams of three -- no multipitch experience required for the beginner role! Note that the beginner should still have BCEP level rope skills.
When applying, please add your name here with the role you are applying for -- Lead, Lead belay, or beginner. Also please indicate your interest in climbing Sunday at Smith. See below for more details.
Lead -- Experienced with sport multipitch
Lead belay -- ICS level or other experience lead belaying outdoors.
Beginner -- Basic rock skills including roped climbing and rappelling.
Afterwards we will be heading to Skull Hollow campground near Smith Rock to camp and climb single pitch at the Zoo on Sunday. There is a separate sign up for this event, and I am hoping most of you will be interested in both.
