Activity Notes

This is one of my favorite Mazama climbs. It begins the approach in gorgeous and serene old growth forest. We will advance along the gentle grade of the river bottom before turning up hill toward our target objective. It has a wonderful mix of shaded forest, glacier travel with dramatic views and a mild scramble/climb at the summit block.  This climb offers it all, but because of distance, requires solid fitness and the ability to put on significant miles over multiple days.
