Activity Notes

Day 1, Friday August 1. Drive to TBD Campground south of Bend, overnight. Diamond Lake CG is 250 miles from Portland, estimate 6 hrs driving time.

Day 2, Saturday August 2. From camp drive to Mount Thielsen TH (5400’). Hike 4.5 miles to base of pitch (9100’), ascend to summit. Descend from summit, hike to TH, camp or drive home. Day total 9 miles, 3700’ gain.

Day 3, Sunday August 3. From camp drive home.

Expect 5 lbs group gear above your personal pack weight.
