Silver Star Mountain (via Ed's Trail)

Many families make it a Father's Day tradition to hike Silver Star amid flowers and mountain views, so we're getting an early start to guarantee parking. We will start and end at Grouse Vista, the most accessible of Silver Star's trailheads, which features a steep, rocky ascent and later a steep, rocky descent. High on the mountain, we will divert toward Ed's Trail, ultimately going through a natural arch, before reaching the summit of Silver Star among hordes. If skies are clear, we'll see at least four volcanoes. We will hike 10.4 miles and ascend 2,400'. All vehicles will need a Washington Discover Pass.
