Huckleberry Mountain (Boulder Ridge)

Activity Notes

We will begin our hike from the BLM Wildwood Recreation Site Wetlands Trail, and our ascent begins once we reach the Boulder Ridge trailhead.  

At about 3.7 miles in, we will turn right onto the Plaza Trail and continue to ascend until we reach about 4200 ft, where there is a fabulous break spot for a large group.  

We will be in the forest for the whole hike, with a few small openings in the trees with views of the surrounding hillsides.  

This is an out-and-back hike.  We will gain 3100 feet in about 5.3 miles, then descend.  

The grade is not particularly steep, but we will have constant elevation gain until we head back.
