This is an B level Mazama Hike that occurs in a non-wilderness area. B level hikes are moderate or more challenging hikes with either less than 15 miles in distance with between 1,500 and 3,000 feet elevation gain or between 8 and 15 miles in distance with less than 1,500 feet of elevation gain.

Activity Notes

The entire route showcases classic Columbia River Gorge features: basalt cliffs, waterfalls, mixed forest ecosystems, and historic transportation infrastructure. 

Starting from historic Cascade Locks near the Bridge of the Gods, the trail follows the Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail offering elevated views of the Columbia River and Washington shoreline. As you approach Eagle Creek Trailhead, you'll pass Ruckel Creek's cascades before reaching one of the Gorge's most famous hiking areas. The middle section to Wahclella Falls provides views of Tooth Rock and Bonneville Dam, 

This is an lollipop loop.  About 7.5 miles long with 1900 feet of elevation sprinkled along he way.  We will be using a car shuttle to optimize enjoyment.
