This is an overnight bikepack on the Deschutes Rail Trail. You will need a gravel or mountain bike and a good repair kit. We will camp near Harris Canyon, 11 miles up the trail.
Activity Notes
Let's bike up the Deschutes River and spend a night out in a desert canyon under the stars!
We will be biking up a gravel road (former rail line), so you will need a gravel or mountain bike and a good repair kit. We'll make camp near Harris Canyon, about 11 miles up the trail.
Bring your hiking shoes. After we get settled, we can hike to the top of the canyon and visit a pictograph site.
It is still winter and the temperatures drop precipitously when the sun goes down. Be prepared for a cold night.
