Activity Notes
We will begin hiking at the Bonneville Trailhead for an out and back hike to Aldrich Butte, a lesser and less-visited butte on the Washington side of the Columbia Gorge that sits in the shadow of Table Mountain.
Total mileage is about 12 miles, and total elevation gain is about 1600'
Most of the hike occurs on the PCT as it makes its way north away from the Columbia River and around Table Mountain.
Those who wish to carpool will meet at the Mazamas Mountaineering Center, 527 SE 43rd Ave SE, PDX, at 6:50 AM, for a 7 AM departure.
If the hike is full and everyone wants to carpool, we will need at least one and possibly two additional drivers. Riders will pay $12 if 1 passenger, $8 each if two, and $6 each if three passengers.
If you wish to meet at the trailhead, please let me know by email, so we don't wait for you. We should begin hiking around 7:55 AM.
The trailhead is the North Bonneville Trailhead, on the Washington side of the Columbia River.
