Activity Notes

It's been four years since I've led a trail trip. This hike has traditionally (before me) been on the Sunday before Thanksgiving. I continued that tradition for many years. This hike is 12.8 miles, sometimes in questionable conditions this time of year. If the weather looks too daunting I will not hesitate to cancel or turn this hike around. Mostly it's a spur trail from the Herman Creek trailhead outside Cascade Locks over to the PCT, and then relentlessly uphill to the "entrance" of Benson Plateau. I will monitor the weather and conditions right up to the day of the hike.  We will be meeting at the MMC.
