Activity Notes

this is a very steep, strenuous hike. Just under 3000 ft of elevation gain and 6 miles round trip. Must have some recent elevations hikes.

meet at mmc  7:15 AM or trailhead at 8 and be ready to hike

Getting There

The trail begins at the Elowah Falls/Yeon trailhead. From Portland, head east on I-84 and take exit 35. Keep left at the fork to continue on the Historic Columbia River Highway, then immediately turn right onto NE Frontage Road. In about 2 miles, the parking lot will be on your right. You will need a park pass

 

Gets dark so early now, we will go up at back and try to get back to MMC before dark, therefore we will have a turn around time of 1 PM
