A great hike or snowshoe in a beautiful Oregon location.

Activity Notes

Come join AYM for a hike near the southern side of Mt. Hood! Starting from Frog Lake Trailhead, we'll hike through the forest passing both Lower & Upper Twin Lakes before continuing uphill to Palmateer Point, where (weather permitting) we'll have a nice view of Mt. Hood. We'll return to the trailhead via the PCT to make it a loop. Estimated mileage is 9.5 miles with 2000 ft elevation gain. Please bring 10 essentials, good hiking shoes/gear, and plenty of water and snacks. We'll likely stop for a lunch break at one of the lakes or the viewpoint.  Plan to meet at Gateway Transit Center by 7:30am & be on the road to the trailhead by 7:45. After the hike there will likely be an opportunity for post-hike food & beverages.
