Itching for a beautiful fall hike with KILLER Hood views? Want to bring your pup on an adventure and/or hang out with other people's doggos? Looking to meet other like minded outdoorsy folks? Love going out for some post hike foodies and beviies? Then we have the activity for you!  Join Heather and Linus (unofficial doggie ambassador of AYM) for a hike to McNeil Point! We'll start at the Top Spur Trailhead, loop around Bald Mountain, head over to Timberline Trail, and hike up to McNeil Point. Depending on how group is feeling we'll either stop at the shelter or go a little further up for even closer and more magnificent views of Mount Hood! This hike will be about 11 miles long with 2500' of gain. You can check out this page for more deets, but exact mileage will vary based on whether or not we go past the shelter and if we do an out/back or take the little shortcut on the way down.  This hike is pup friendly, but limited to 4 doggos total, due to wilderness regulations. Please email Heather to secure a spot for your doggo. All doggos must be well behaved and on leash at all times. We'll plan to stop somewhere in Govvy, Sandy, or Hood River post hike for foodies and bevvies! Adventurous Young Mazamas (AYM) offers activities targeted to those in their 20s, 30s, and anyone young at heart. All activities are open everyone, regardless of age. Come join us!
