Activity Notes
~10 miles, 2500' eg, 2mph pace: we'll pick up a few miles and some eg by starting at the Wamic Road (FR 48) and ascending to Bonney Meadows, taking a detour down to Boulder Lake (if it is warm enough, maybe a swim!) before taking the road up to Bonney Butte to catch the fall raptor migration with HawkWatch. Fall colors should be evident in the meadows and there might be a few huckleberries hanging on and/or some mushrooms. Suggested extras: binoculars, swimsuit Route includes a few stretches of gravel road and two cattle guards. Carpooling strongly encouraged due to size of trailhead (suggested $10-15). Carpool doc If the forecast calls for fog/rain, this will be an Eagle Creek to Twister Falls or similar hike.Registration is Closed
