Hike from High Prairie TH past Lookout Mountain and the Palisades to Flag Point: magnificent views of wilderness and the Cascade Range, wet and dry wildflower meadows, exotic rock formations, the remains of an old lookout and a working lookout tower. Optional scramble @ Palisades

Fall color and vistas in the Badger Creek Wilderness (weather permitting) 11.4 miles, 2340' eg @ 2 mph pace. We'll start at High Prairie, make our way up to Lookout Mountain and then follow the ridge to Flag Point, stopping to take in the Palisades. If the lookout at Flag Point is accessible, we'll climb up for a look see, otherwise have a bite and head back, looping around the other side of Lookout Mountain and High Prairie. Suggested carpool contribution $15. ADDITIONAL NOTES: This is an B level Mazama Hike that occurs in a wilderness area.
