Activity Notes

There?s a lot to see on this short, out and back hike. We?ll start at Horsetail Falls and hike up to where the trail passes through a cavern behind Ponytail Falls.  From there, we?ll follow the trail west to Oneonta Creek, enjoying nice views of both the Columbia River Gorge and Oneonta Gorge. Then it?s on up to Triple Falls, where the creek splits into three plumes which plunge 120 feet over basalt cliffs. 5 miles / 1000 feet elevation gain / 70 drive miles. Meet at 8:00 AM at the Mazama Mountaineering Center parking lot.
