This is an A level Mazama Hike that occurs in a non-wilderness area. A level hikes are easy or less strenuous hikes with less than 8 miles in distance and less than 1,500 feet of elevation gain.

Activity Notes
Come celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Mazama Trail dedication with a one mile hike to the first viewpoint. Ray Sheldon, who spearheaded the trail reconstruction, will be on hand to share stories. We will stroll up the first mile and stop at key points explaining the history of the lower trail.
