This is an B level Mazama Hike that occurs in a wilderness area. B level hikes are moderate or more challenging hikes with either less than 15 miles in distance with between 1,500 and 3,000 feet elevation gain or between 8 and 15 miles in distance with less than 1,500 feet of elevation gain.

Activity Notes

10 miles, 2300 eg.  2 mph pace with stops for huckleberries, a lovely lake and sweeping views (weather permitting). Optional gear: swimsuit/towel, small container for take home huckleberries. 
  Drive is 2 hrs each way, ~200 miles + $3 toll. No parking pass required. Suggested carpool $20-30. 
  Meet carpool at MMC at 6am or trailhead at 8:15 am.
