This is an B level Mazama Hike that occurs in a non-wilderness area. B level hikes are moderate or more challenging hikes with either less than 15 miles in distance with between 1,500 and 3,000 feet elevation gain or between 8 and 15 miles in distance with less than 1,500 feet of elevation gain.

Activity Notes
Staring at Gales Creek trailhead going to the intersection of Story Burn and Gales Creek. We will then proceed up the Gales creek trail toward Reehers Camp for about 4 miles. Make a stop for Lunch and then return. Total of about 9.6 miles with 1000-foot elevation gain. Good trail conditions and mostly evenly graded. Follows gales creek with lots of trees, ferns, and mostly shaded. Generally, a nice cooler hike on these warmer days.| Other Information | |
