Beginning at the Grouse Vista Trailhead we will hike a steady uphill pace towards the beautiful Silver Star Mountain peak (4380') for a vista of the ground that we will cover. We will descend slightly heading northbound to the Bluff Mountain Trail (TR-172). We continue down the ridge line around Little Baldy and passing Bluff Mountain. At approximately 9.6 miles into our route we take the Old Copper Creek Road logging road down towards Cooper Creek for a water crossing. We continue on along the creek until we take the junction of Starway Trail (TR175) heading sharply uphill via multiple switchbacks until finally connecting back up with TR172. We follow our path back down to the Grouse Vista Trailhead, closing the lollypop loop.
