Activity Notes

Our plan this weekend is to build on the skills we?ve learned previously and to introduce technical snow climbing ? including the use of an ice axe, crampons, glacier travel, self-arrest, and glissading.  All your rock skills (rappelling, belaying, passing through fixed protection) can be translated onto snow.  And we get to add some other fun stuff like self-arrest, quick belays, and roped team travel with running belays. ?Please log into your mazamas.org account to read the Leader Notes below.
