Activity Notes
This is our first opportunity to practice our skills vertically! We'll be using the Mazamas rock walls to practice rappelling and belaying. We will also have lower angle options available if you do not feel comfortable initially, but we do want everyone to do at least one lap on the rock walls by the end of the evening. In addition to this we will cut and tie your Prusik loops, practice fixed line travel, belaying from above, and ascending a rope using those new Prusiks. Please bring all of your gear. The list below is unfortunately not exhaustive since the autoblock is not included. Bring snacks and drink as well since we will be finishing after dinner time. Also, the Mazamas Mountaineering Center (MMC) can be chilly at times so please bring layers to stay comfortable while standing around on the ground and in the air.Registration is Closed
