This is an B level Mazama Hike that occurs in a non-wilderness area. B level hikes are moderate or more challenging hikes with either less than 15 miles in distance with between 1,500 and 3,000 feet elevation gain or between 8 and 15 miles in distance with less than 1,500 feet of elevation gain.

Activity Notes

Double loop hike combining the McKenzie River Waterfalls loop with the Clear Lake loop.  Sahalie Falls and Koosah Falls on the Mckenzie River plus geologically unique Clear Lake.  We will start at the Sahalie Falls TH.  8.5 miles, 500 feet elevation. This is an easy B hike, but there are lava rocks along the trail.  We will meet 7:30am at the Tualatin Bridgeport Transit Park & Ride.  Drive is 2 1/4 hrs, 125 miles.
