Mt. Ellinor, SE Chute

Activity Notes

Please note that due to weather this climb has been changed from Mt. Thielsen to Mt. Ellinor.  Full Prospectus coming shortly.

We will depart the Mt. Ellinor trailhead by 5:30 AM (plan to arrive before that with enough time to get your boots on and be ready to go) on May 27th and ascend via trail and on snow using ice axes and crampons if needed.  Depending on snow conditions we may be able to glissade back down.  Approximately 6 miles and 3,400 feet elevation gain.

Climb team members can either join us at  Big Creek Camp the night before the climb or drive up early on the morning of the climb. 

Additional Costs: depending on how many people and cars we have at the campsite, camping will cost an additional $TBD per person.  Each campsite is $20 can can accomadate up to 8 people and 2 cars.  Extra cars are $5 each.  There is potable water at camp.
