Leave Portland on day 1 AM, collect permits (25$ cash/check per person) Day 1: hike in, setup camp, most probably on snow Day 2:: Summit, break camp and hike out I will be monitoring the weather, and the climb may get pushed out. Participants must have summitted glaciated mountains at or above 12k feet (Mt Adams or higher). Applicants must also be comfortable with steep snow and ice, rope travel with a running belay and use of ice axe and crampons. Applicants should also have experience in snow camping. This plan may change to car-2-car, or camp much lower at horse camp and then approach the summit from there, due to the winds condition from recent reports.
