Just 3/4 of a mile away from the better-known Eagle Cap in the Wallowa Mountains, this peak is still a worthy goal in this area. Crampons and axe are normally needed to cross a snow field. Approximate route: Traverse snowfield under NE face of Eagle Cap to SE Ridge. Ascend ridge to summit. (This is not the Glacier Peak in WA, in case you wanted to know.)
