Trail through a variety of coastal forests, inland from Cascade Head. The attraction there is the trees rather than views of the Pacific Ocean. Unlike at upper Cascade Head, it is open year round, but in the first half of the year you can't leave the trail at any junction. This description is for hiking one-way North to South. If hiking South to North, the elevation gain is 3,200.
