Activity Notes

This will be an ambitious and long weekend, which, weather permitting, should be a nice capstone to the season.

We'll carpool from Portland on Thursday, with dinner in Bend, to the Green Lakes Trailhed, where we'll hike in the dark to the Green Lakes Basin and make camp. Friday, we'll climb South Sister and camp again in the basin. Saturday, we'll climb Broken Top, pack up, hike out and drive, with dinner in Bend, to the PCT - Santiam Pass Trailhead, where we'll camp. Sunday morning, we'll climb Three Fingered Jack and then drive back to Portland.
