Activity Notes

A campsite at Alder Lake's Rocky Point Campground and a group campsite in Rainier National Park have been reserved for this weekend.

This activity includes a summit of Pinnacle Peak East Ridge and Unicorn Peak. Pinnacle Peak is a single-pitch 5.4 rock climb that can be done in boots, but is steep and has high exposure.  The descent requires a rappel, and both the approach and descent are via moderate snow travel.  Unicorn Peak also has a short, low 5th-class rock pitch and a rappel on the descent.  Both approach and descent are over steepish snow and possible unprotected rock scrambling.
