Classics: Laurel Hill Hike

About the Classics: Classics Events are designed for Mazama Members with 25 years or more of membership. Classics offer a variety of year-round activities including hikes, picnics, and cultural excursions. You'll have the opportunity to share years of happy Mazama memories with the Classics Group. All ages are welcome to join the fun!

Hike Description: 4 to 5 miles and 500 foot elevation change.  Where the wagons on Barlow Road were lowered down a steep bluff. Onto Yokum falls, the outflow for Mirror lake. We hike to an overlook with views of Mt Hood and Hwy 26. We cross Hwy 26 at a break in the Jearsy barrier below the parking area. Hike to bridle path and tunnel under old Hwy 26 and on to lunch at little Zig Zag Falls. Mostly in the trees.
