Marion Lake is the largest lake in an Oregon Cascades roadless area (Jefferson Wilderness Area), and provides a striking view of Three Fingered Jack. The Marion Lake trail is also a gateway into the Eight Lakes Basin. The lookout house is 1200' above Marion Lake (and 2.4 miles further down the trail), and sits on Mt. Marion--providing a commanding view of the surrounding area.

Activity Notes

Marion Lake is the largest wilderness lake in the Oregon Cascades and is a gateway site granting access to many other trails, and alpine destinations. In addition, there will be wildflowers and mountain peaks. Time will be allowed for pictures and just taking in the beauty.
