Named after Mazama Lewis H. Lamberson, who scrambled up the butte in 1895, this impressive hike takes us up Gnarl Ridge to Lamberson Butte for impressive views of Mt. Hood, the Newton Clark Glacier, and Newton Creek.

Be aware: This hike is listed as having 9.5 miles with 2480 ft of actual elevation gain instead of the default numbers on the Mazamas website. Please be sure you can handle the hike before signing up.

This hike is also on Mt. Hood and not in the listed Mt. St. Helens area.
