Activity Notes

We will backpack in the Goat Rocks Wilderness, hopefully missing the worst of the bugs but catching the prime of the wildflower season. Our daily distances and elevation gain will be low to moderate, so we have time to explore and enjoy the scenery. Most of the hike will be on well-developed, maintained trails between roughly 5,000' and 7,500' elevation, although there may be some snowy and rocky patches depending on conditions. If the weather cooperates views of Rainier, Adams and other major Cascade peaks should be numerous. See the prospectus for possible campsites and daily distances and elevation gain.
